Low Country Laundry & Dry Cleaners to Hold Aged Inventory Sale

From July 20 at 7:30am to July 25 at 6:30pm, the unclaimed clothes will be on the racks in the front lobby of the downtown location at 107 Rutledge Avenue in West Ashley at South Windermere Shopping Center. Shoppers simply come in and look at the available clothing that is already cleaned, pressed, bagged and on hangers. To purchase, patrons pay just the cleaning fees originally on the ticket.

“We will hold the sale all week with everything from Prada hand bags from $40 and super nice clothing for just the cleaning cost such as $2.65 for a shirt, $5.65 for pants, sweaters, silk blouses and $10.50 for suits,” said owner Courtney Friedman. “Additionally, we will also be pulling clothing to donate to the ladies at My Sister’s House!”

Wentworth Street Dental Associates Under New Ownership

Taste of the Market Held Every Third Thursday in Downtown Charleston

Holy City Brewery is now on hand selling $4 domestics and $5 craft beers. Additionally, there is live music and a children’s area. Tickets are $10 with a portion of the proceeds to benefit Hospitality Heroes and free for children 10 and under.

After recently adding an Upper King Street tour, Charleston Culinary Tours is pleased to bring a 1.5 hour Mixology Tour that introduces guests to some of Charleston’s best cocktail crafters. Each Mixology excursion stops at three watering holes where guests will meet the magicians behind the bars that are mixing the lowcountry’s most exciting, innovative and delicious drinks. Tour participants will have an opportunity to sample a specialty craft cocktail at each of the three stops after learning about the art of mixing cocktails and gaining insight into how Charleston’s mixologists are embracing traditional techniques while also taking ingredients from farm to tumbler. During walks between stops, a guide provides insight into Charleston’s cocktail culture, both past and present. Operation Home Presents 3rd Annual Gimme Shelter

Charleston, SC, March 11, 2013 – Operation Home announces the 3rd Annual Gimme Shelter presented by Home Team BBQ on Thursday, April 18th at 7pm at The Alley downtown. This retro party will feature a DJ, live and silent auction, raffle for a 177 Sport Scout boat, bowling, arcade games, Skee-Ball, pinball machines and feel good food. Prepared by Home Team BBQ Executive Chef Aaron Siegel, the menu is complete with comfort foods and American classics. Creative retro attire is optional.

“We are so grateful for all of the support of this event showing commitment to the community,” said Operation Home Executive Director Sandy Milliken. “Proceeds raised from this party will go toward building wheelchair ramps, repairing roofs, windows and floors for at least 60 homes this year.”

The festive evening’s theme celebrates a legendary Cuban night and will include beer, wine and specialty drinks including The Hemingway and famous Home Team Frozen Painkillers, on site hand-rolled cigars in a Havana lounge, a small silent auction, innovative multi-media entertainment and soulful folk and jazz rhythms from Garage Cuban Band. Additionally, pitmaster Aaron Siegel will be jerk-rubbing pork and chicken and then cooking them low and slow in Home Team’s wood fired smoker.
