The company started by offering high quality vintage-style music-inspired t-shirts printed here in South Carolina. More recently, Drifter Merch has expanded to offer art on reclaimed wood by State Pallets, Preston Smith Designs and Ridley Stallings Art. Focusing on the owners’ love of live music, various designs included paying homage to their favorite bands that include the Allman Brothers, Grateful Dead, Widespread Panic and Neil Young.

After graduating from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in Communications, Lorrie moved to Atlanta and worked for CNN for 15 years where she won many awards including Emmy Awards for coverage of 9/11, Oklahoma City and Olympic Park Bombings, Headliner Award for Capture of Saddam coverage, Peabody Award for Hurricane Katrina coverage and DuPont Award for Tsunami coverage.

With an entrepreneurial spirit in 2002, she started Eskimo Advertising, a full service boutique advertising and public relations agency. As she was already handling clients in Charleston, she opened another office here in 2008 and the following year, moved her entire company to Charleston while still handling clients in Atlanta as well as in Alabama and Colorado.

My Sister’s House Announces 4th Annual Bubbly and Brew in Charleston

My Sister’s House presents the 4th Annual Bubbly and Brew sponsored by Lucey Mortgage Corporation on Friday, September 28th from 7-11pm at Harborside East in Mount Pleasant. Guests will dine on tasty food selections from Home Team BBQ, High Thyme Cuisine, Rue de Jean, Long Island Cafe, The Glass Onion, Kudzu Bakery and more as well as sip on champagne, wine, and beers from local brewers. Additionally, there will be a live and silent auction plus live music from party band Love Butter. Tickets are $60 in advance or $75 at the door.

“We are fortunate to have additional sponsorship from Carolina One, Eskimo Advertising, State Farm, Lowcountry Women’s Specialists, Glaser Duncan, Rhino Shield, The Raven Family and Waterstone Financial Services,” said My Sister’s House Executive Director Elmire Raven. “It is these and all donations that will provide services, programs and resources to empower victims of domestic violence and their children to live free from abuse.”

Founded in 1980, My Sister’s House is the only shelter-based program serving domestic violence victims in Berkeley, Charleston and Dorchester counties. The money raised will be used in a variety of ways to continue to help women and children live violence-free by providing 24-hour crisis line and shelter, deposits on new safe apartments, children’s clothing for school, legal help, counseling and much more.
