About Lorrie:

After graduating from the University of Alabama with a B.A. in Communications, Lorrie moved to Atlanta and worked for CNN for 15 years where she won many awards including Emmy Awards for coverage of 9/11, Oklahoma City and Olympic Park Bombings, Headliner Award for Capture of Saddam coverage, Peabody Award for Hurricane Katrina coverage and DuPont Award for Tsunami coverage.

With an entrepreneurial spirit in 2002, she started Eskimo Advertising, a full service boutique advertising and public relations agency. As she was already handling clients in Charleston, she opened another office here in 2008 and the following year, moved her entire company to Charleston while still handling clients in Atlanta as well as in Alabama and Colorado.

Today, she is a woman about town as the Atlanta, Charleston and Charlotte City Editor for lifestyle e-magazine, Ask Miss A, and also writes for Carolina Nightlife, Bold Spicy News, Patch and Charleston Lowcountry Boil.

Her tenacity for work is equally as strong for giving back to the community. Lorrie shows her support of the community by lending her event, marketing and public relations skills to various organizations’ fundraisers several times a year. She not only gains exposure for each cause with media coverage but uses her resources to help attain sponsors, silent auction items, and increase attendance as well as serve on the planning and/or host committees for each event.
