Moe’s Original BBQ Exclusively Selected for ESPN GameDay’s Tailgate Segments this Saturday

Moe’s Original BBQ is fired up after being named the featured tailgate on ESPN GameDay’s live broadcast this Saturday as Duke takes on Notre Dame in Durham. The rib joint’s incredible flavors will take center stage in multiple tailgate segments, building up to an epic feast presented to the beloved broadcasters at the end of the show. Local owners/pitmasters Mobley Estes and Michael Roos’ mouthwatering menu will include tender whole brisket to finger-licking good ribs, smoked turkey, wings, and sausage links plus delicious sides of potato salad and marinated slaw finished off with epic banana pudding and a signature bushwacker cocktail. Additionally, as part of this exciting partnership, the rib joint will be catering its award-winning BBQ for the ESPN Gameday team on Friday for lunch. After the broadcast the party continues at Moe’s Original BBQ at 2014 Hillsborough Rd, right by campus. The restaurant, voted Best BBQ by Durham Magazine, will be celebrating with food and drink specials that include a pound of smoked wings for $10, $5 draft beers, $10 beer buckets, $3 vodka lemonades and seltzers, $5.50 for vodka red bull and $3 fireball shots.

Moe’s Original Bar B Que Expands Southern Soul Food Revival to Hendersonville, NC

After a warm welcome in Asheville, NC, Moe’s Original Bar B Que is set to bring the all things Southern BBQ experience to 114 N Main Street in downtown Hendersonville, NC in mid-March. Housed in a historic brownstone built in 1900 across from the former court house, the 4000 square foot two story eatery features a main level dining room complete with traditional interior brick walls, booths, tables, and family-style dining plus high tops in the front window and sidewalk seating. Upstairs, there is a full premium bar and a perfect room for meetings, parties, special events and occasional acoustic music.

“A lot of our customers at our Asheville restaurant were from Hendersonville,” said co-owner Dave Rice. “It only made sense to choose this quaint town of retirees, professionals and families for our next location.”

Founded in Vail, Colorado in 2001, Moe’s Original Bar B Que has 21 other locations in AL, CO, GA, ME and NC. The award-winning fast casual restaurant features award-winning Alabama-style pulled pork, ribs, wings, turkey and chicken smoked over hardwood served with two unique sauces as well as southern favorites such as fried catfish and shrimp sandwiches. Opening for lunch and dinner from 11am daily, the new restaurant will also offer several traditional special sides and desserts made fresh daily. Moe’s Original serves up an award-winning, all things Southern, Alabama BBQ experience with large party take-out orders and catering with delivery also available.
