By the end of the month, Moe’s Original BBQ will open its second upstate location in Spartanburg at 578 N Church Street Suite D in the mixed use Hub development. Open daily at 11am, a trip to Moe’s is a chance to slow down, make connections, and enjoy quality recipes passed down for many generations. The award-winning smoked menu feeds the soul with many BBQ staples, tofu, catfish, mahi mahi and shrimp as well as a rotation of 60 traditional Southern sides and house made desserts. “With a successful location in Greenville, it only made sense to open our next location in Spartanburg,” said Co-owner Sam Ragland. “We felt the Hub was the perfect spot where there are currently not any BBQ options. It is a short walk to downtown and provides a gateway into the Northside neighborhood and Wofford College.”

Moe’s Original Bar B Que Set to Open in Greenville, SC

Moe’s Original Bar B Que, winners of the People’s Choice Award at the Taste of the Upstate, will open its southern soul food revival in Greenville in late June at 109 West Stone Avenue in the Westone Development. Serving lunch and dinner daily, the 2,500-square-foot, fast casual establishment will offer Alabama-style BBQ, traditional southern sides and desserts prepared fresh daily. With the ability to seat 94 total at booths, tables, and high tops including 36 on the patio, the BBQ joint will have flat screen televisions hanging on the walls, a full bar with rotating taps and frozen bushwackers, and garage doors open to a patio complete with outdoor fire pit. The neighborhood restaurant will also provide full service catering for celebrations and corporate events as well as large party takeout orders.

“Situated in the North Main community, the location was originally home to Star Cleaners in the 1920s,” said co-owner Sam Ragland. “Once we toured the spot and saw the character of the historic building, we knew this was a perfect place to re-purpose into a Moe’s Original Bar B Que.”

Moe’s Original Bar B Que Expands into Georgetown, SC

With a prosperous location already in Pawleys Island, Moe’s Original Bar B Que will bring its Southern Soul Food Revival to Georgetown in mid-April at 919 Front Street beside the Harborwalk. Catering to locals and visitors alike, lunch and dinner will be prepared fresh daily from 11am-9pm. There will be plenty of table seating in the restaurant, on the deck, front sidewalk and in the back private event area as well as along the 60 foot long bar. Moe’s Original Bar B Que will also offer a full selection of adult beverages plus 16 TVs, pool tables, dart boards, happy hour, and live music as well as an array of activities for Sunday Fundays. While the new eatery is in a historic spot located in an old brownstone type building, it still will have the familiar traits of a Moe’s Original Bar B Que with a beach/harbor vibe.

“With so many regulars and catering orders already coming from Georgetown, customers kept asking me to add another local restaurant so they wouldn’t have to drive down the highway to Pawleys Island for their favorite BBQ and Southern sides,” said Moe’s Original Bar B Que operating owner Meg Lonon.  “As Georgetown is on the rise, I am excited to be a small part of the future in such a beautiful area to live, work and play.”

Local Food Truck Provides Support for Police Officer

Purchase Southern BBQ and down home fixins and 50% of all proceeds will benefit Lt. Denise King. The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office partnered with Moe’s to express support of its sister in blue who has been fighting lung cancer.

Charleston, South Carolina March 11, 2009 – Fiery Ron’s Home Team BBQ is proud to announce the opening of its second location in early spring at 2209 Middle Street in the former Bert’s space on Sullivan’s Island.
