An Evening with Steep Canyon Rangers and Shannon Whitworth

Charleston Music Hall and Awendaw Green are proud to announce the foot stomping, get-out-of-your seat and let loose, evening with Steep Canyon and Shannon Whitworth on Thursday, August 22nd from 8pm until 11pm at the Charleston Music Hall. Doors open at 7pm and advanced tickets are on sale now for $20 – $25 at Etix.com or charge by phone at 1-800-514-3849 or the Charleston Music Hall Box Office at 37 John St.

Asheville, NC, Steep Canyon Rangers are an acoustic Bluegrass quintet. Before embarking on a world tour backing comedian/banjoist Steve Martin, the Rangers were nominated for two International Bluegrass Music awards. The Rangers were also named ‘Emerging Artist of the Year’ at the IBMA awards and they won a grammy for best bluegrass album.

Shannon Whitworth is ready for adventure, and wants to take listeners on a cross-country trek that will leave all preconceptions of banjo-wielding songstresses behind. Starting off as a singer/songwriter for The Bisquit Burners, Whitworth has forged ahead as a swoon-inducing solo artists that has been compared to Emmylou Harris’ Americana days.
