ASAP Heating and Air Acquires GreenHome Solutions

ASAP Heating and Air announces its expansion with the acquisition of GreenHome Solutions. ASAP Heating and Air knew the importance of advancing its HVAC company through a buy out as a smart path for growth. With the opportunity to cultivate complementary core businesses, the cutting edge company now provides increased knowledge with a diversified staff, world-class technology capabilities, and enhanced customer service as it brings together the expertise of two thriving companies. GreenHome Solutions’ former owner Ryan Hudson has taken on the responsibility of President for ASAP’s expanded entity.

Ryan Hudson started his professional career at Mechanical Engineering Consulting Associates (MECA Inc.) after earning his bachelor’s degree in computational physics with a minor in mathematics from Francis Marion University.  While working full time for MECA, Ryan earned his master’s degree from the University of South Carolina in theoretical physics with emphasis in business management.  With an interest in thermal dynamics, Ryan went on to work in the heavy industrial sector of Carrier Corporation for over a decade where he was one of the highest sales producers in the nation.  While there, he founded GreenHome Solutions, a technology-based residential heating and cooling company that saw significant growth in its two years of existence.

“With vast experience and a lot of forward thinking ideas, Ryan and GreenHome Solutions were a perfect fit for ASAP as we ventured to push the residential and light commercial envelope in the local Columbia market,” said ASAP Heating and Air owner Lander Cason. “Our goal with this acquisition was to create a new sector of engineering, design, and customer focus which the industry had not yet seen in this market.”

A leader with a strong reputation in comprehensive HVAC services, ASAP Heating & Air is at the forefront of serving residential and commercial customers in the greater Columbia, SC area. With a concern for the local community and environment, all of ASAP’s experienced service technicians and engineering professionals are licensed, insured and have years of heating and air conditioning experience to deliver a better service experience for its customers. Offering the latest technology as well as energy saving solutions, ASAP Heating and Air is one of Columbia’s top heating and cooling comfort resources.

Food Network Calls Amalfi Pizza Best in America’s Biggest Cities

Atlanta, GA, June 27, 2018 – With a multitude of fantastic pizzas in the U.S., The Food Network has named Atlanta’s Amalfi Pizza as one of the Best Pizzas in America’s Biggest Cities. The feature focused on the top spots for a good pie in the 52 largest cities in the country, including Chicago and New York City. The article noted about Amalfi Pizza, “The pies are traditional, sometimes to the point of obscurity, like with their Carnavale pizza formed in the shape of a star with a ricotta-stuffed crust. It might sound like something dreamed up for Instagram, but it’s actually a special occasion pie served in Italy during Easter.”

“This feature speaks directly to our commitment to bringing an authentic product to our customers, ” said founding partner Stephen de Haan. “Along with other notoriety from Zagat and the AJC,  this acknowledgement speaks to the hard work and dedication of our team.”

Open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, Amalfi Pizza is a traditional Neapolitan pizzeria centered around two 6000 pound wood-burning brick ovens imported from Italy. Amalfi Pizza offers an authentic Italian menu that includes Neapolitan-style pizzas as well as authentic appetizers, fresh salads, traditional pasta dishes and savory desserts. Originating in and the true pizza of Naples in the 1600s, Vera Pizza Napoletana is 12 inches or less in size, made from simple fresh quality ingredients from the Campania region of Italy and cooked at temperatures in excess of 900 degrees in approximately 60 seconds. In addition to traveling to Naples and throughout the entire region to find the best ingredients, the operating partners Stephen de Haan and Greg Grant staged with the Italian Pizzaiolo Maestros at Pizzeria Mattozzi, established in 1830, and Pizzeria Da Attilo. This apprenticeship, along with studying in the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana, allowed their passion for food to develop into the skills necessary to bring this historic, simple, and beautifully executed street food to Atlanta.

Vintage Café Opens in Historic Regions Bank Building in Montgomery, AL

Amidst Montgomery, Alabama’s reemergence, Vintage Hospitality Group recently brought Vintage Café to the Old Cloverdale neighborhood in the former Regions Bank building. Serving Monday-Saturday from 7am–5pm, Vintage Café has grab-and-go offerings as well as indoor/outdoor seating and a drive-thru window for customers to enjoy Stumptown Coffee Roasters specialty coffees, Steven Smith Teamaker teas, fresh juices, smoothies, beer, wine, a variety of healthy food choices and a retail area full of blends, gifts and accessories. The space was created for everyone in the neighborhood from moms grabbing a quick bite or smoothie after school to professionals working remotely or getting a cup of joe on the way to the office.

“At Vintage Café, our team is committed to providing a crisp level of service that is prompt and polite,” said General Manager Bryan Wooden. “Welcoming each of our guests into our comfortable environment coupled with our quality offerings are the ingredients to providing the preferred Vintage Café experience. This is our contribution and commitment to our community.”

Built in 1955, the two story, former Regions and First National Bank building is owned by Café proprietor Jud Blount and his uncle, Tom Blount. Prior to transforming this historic building, the elder Blount, a retired architect, also designed the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and Blount Cultural Park in addition to several other buildings internationally. The sleek, modern interior design was done by Laura Dockery Design while the renovation was brought to life by R.F. Pruett Construction. Working together, the team refurbished the bank’s terrazzo floors, transformed the teller window into a drive thru and re-purposed safety deposit boxes along the counter. Guests will see other elements of the old bank including a working camera in the height chart by the entrance, the depository box, and metal vault gate. Additionally, the second-floor mezzanine that overlooks the entrance is next to a private room that is available for daytime meetings as well as receptions and cocktail parties at night.

Vintage Hospitality Group brings Vintage Café to the Old Cloverdale neighborhood located at 416 Cloverdale Road. The team of Proprietor Jud Blount, Executive Chef Eric Rivera and General Manager Bryan Wooden has over 45 years of combined experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
