Prohibition Set to Open in Buckhead
Eskimo Advertising Announcement

Atlanta, Georgia, November 30, 2009 – Prohibition will open on Thursday, December 3rd at 56 East Andrews Drive in Andrews Square. This upscale Buckhead lounge has the feel of a 1920s underground speakeasy and no sign makes it more discreet. While it is not a members-only club, guests can only enter by securing a secret phone number and dialing it into an original antique London phone booth securing access though a secret entry way. While Prohibition is anything but dry, the master mixologists craft creative drinks from recipes in a leather bound, wood covered cocktail encyclopedia passed down for generations.

“We like to call our drinks prescriptions carefully compounded as our mixologists studied hundreds of lost cocktails, techniques, and the true art of an old style classic bartending that you just can’t find anywhere else in the South, ” says Master Mixologist Steve De Haan. “Using 300 lb blocks of hand chipped ice, only fresh squeezed juices, garnishes cut to order and the finest liquors available, our upscale, craft cocktails are without compare for quality and rarity of ingredients.”

The interior design keeps with the overall theme. With sconces from the 20s, the lighting is warm and subdued. The honey-onyx bar top and hand-painted ceiling complement the trimmed out oak paneling throughout the establishment. Guests will be able to cozy up in rich leather sofas by the fireplace and taste from the a special menu complete with desserts. Patrons can also enjoy a cigar from the house humidor with over 30 of the finest and rarest cigars found anywhere, such as OpusX, Padron 80th Anniversary and Davidoff. “You are sure to find the perfect cigar to complement your palette and evening,” says cigar aficionado Stan Weaver.

Prohibition’s hours of operation are from 5 pm – 2 am on Monday – Saturday. For more information visit www.prohibitionatl.com. For interviews with the owners, menu, photos or a full press kit, please contact Lorrie Dixson of Eskimo Advertising at (404) 441-3473 or lorrie@eskimoadvertising.com.
