Atlanta, Georgia, February 17, 2009 – Moe’s Original Bar B Que is proud to announce the opening of its eighth location on Wednesday at 2341 John Hawkins Parkway at Lake Crest Plaza in Hoover, Alabama. Moe’s Original Bar B Que features award-winning Bama-style pulled pork, racks of ribs, and chicken smoked over hard wood served with two unique sauces plus eight to ten traditional Southern sides and tasty desserts. All three Birmingham Moe’s serve lunch and dinner starting at 11am as well as accommodate large party takeout orders, full service catering and delivery.

“We decided to open a Hoover restaurant as it has a similar community as our Vestavia location where residents can come visit with their friends and enjoy great BBQ,” said Moe’s Birmingham co-owner Kevin Witherington. “In March, we plan to open another Birmingham location at 731 29th Street South after renovating our Lakeview Oyster House space.”

Moe’s Original Bar B Que was founded in 2001 in Vail, Colorado by three Alabamians: Mike Fernandez from Tuscaloosa, Ben Gilbert from Athens, and Jeff Kennedy from Huntsville. Moe’s Original BBQ smokes all meat fresh daily as taught by Tuscaloosa legend Moses Day. Moe’s other locations include Denver, Eagle and Vail, Colorado, Daphne, Orange Beach, Vestavia Hills and Birmingham, Alabama.
