“Some of the best ideas come out of late nights drinking whiskey with your buddies,” said festival committee member Jimmy Richter. “On one such night, a few musicians, promoters, and friends decided we needed to try to get some of our talented buddies that we have all in the same place at the same time.”
Started in 2013, Choice City Stomp is a mini music festival of some of the best known and up and coming artists in bluegrass, folk, Americana, and blues. After a successful first year the response was overwhelming. Over 200 bands and acts applied to perform this year. The artists playing were hand-picked as returning favorites and new hopefuls.
