Moe’s Original BBQ is bringing its Southern Soul Food Revival to Saint George on Monday, August 17th at 11855 Cassie Lane at The Halfway Station between Manhattan and Wamego. Along with the made from scratch side dishes and desserts, the award-winning smoked meats, cooked low, slow, and to perfection, will be prepared fresh daily. Opening daily at 11am, the fast casual restaurant will offer dine in and take out as well as a full bar available. Catering will also be available for any size event or party featuring a complete array of food and alcoholic beverage choices with several packages available.
“We are excited to bring Alabama-style BBQ to Kansas,” said local owner David Alt. “With only one other restaurant in the area, we will be able to offer the community a place where family and friends can come and relax while enjoying delicious food, cold drinks and great service.”
With 3400 square feet inside and an additional 1500 on the deck, Moe’s Original BBQ will have seating for 55 inside at tables, booths and bar seating and around 10 tables outside connected by a garage door. The atmosphere will have a rustic feel with rough sawn cedar, bar tin and some live edge for the bar and tables. The walls will be full of black and white photos tying in the colors of Rock Creek High.
Serving Alabama-style BBQ since 1988, Moe’s Original BBQ has been named in the Top 10 BBQ Chains in America by USA Today and The Daily Meal, one of the fastest growing, emerging restaurant chains by Restaurant Business Magazine, and one of the Top 10 Rib Joints in the U.S. by Relish. Served with red BBQ and Alabama white sauces, the award-winning smoked menu features pulled pork, ribs, wings, turkey and chicken, catfish and a shrimp sandwich. Prepared fresh daily, a rotation of 60 traditional Southern sides and house made desserts are also offered.
