With a successful restaurant already in Granville, Moe’s Original Bar B Que is set to open a new location in late May in downtown Newark, just off the square at 21 W Church Street. “We thought with all of the revitalization downtown that Newark was a perfect spot for our second family-friendly restaurant,” said co-owner Kara Gallagher. “We even have a Mini Moe’s area complete with a shack, little picnic table, and flying pigs on the wall to keep the kids entertained while the parents can enjoy a cold beverage from our full premium bar.”

Moe’s Original Bar B Que Expands into Georgetown, SC

With a prosperous location already in Pawleys Island, Moe’s Original Bar B Que will bring its Southern Soul Food Revival to Georgetown in mid-April at 919 Front Street beside the Harborwalk. Catering to locals and visitors alike, lunch and dinner will be prepared fresh daily from 11am-9pm. There will be plenty of table seating in the restaurant, on the deck, front sidewalk and in the back private event area as well as along the 60 foot long bar. Moe’s Original Bar B Que will also offer a full selection of adult beverages plus 16 TVs, pool tables, dart boards, happy hour, and live music as well as an array of activities for Sunday Fundays. While the new eatery is in a historic spot located in an old brownstone type building, it still will have the familiar traits of a Moe’s Original Bar B Que with a beach/harbor vibe.

“With so many regulars and catering orders already coming from Georgetown, customers kept asking me to add another local restaurant so they wouldn’t have to drive down the highway to Pawleys Island for their favorite BBQ and Southern sides,” said Moe’s Original Bar B Que operating owner Meg Lonon.  “As Georgetown is on the rise, I am excited to be a small part of the future in such a beautiful area to live, work and play.”

Moe’s Original Bar B Que Set to Bring its Southern Soul Food Revival to Forest City, NC

meat-on-pitForest City, NC, December 7, 2016 – Moe’s Original Bar B Que will open in early 2017 at 164 E Main Street. This fast casual restaurant will provide economical Southern BBQ with all of the fixins’ with a quaint neighborhood setting that’s kid-friendly. The 2500 square foot interior will accommodate around 90 guests and with 800 square feet outside, 35-40 people can enjoy the patio space. There will also be a full premium bar complete with TVs showing concerts or sports. Additionally, Moe’s Original Bar B Que is always ready to accommodate any size catering order, large or small.

“Forest City is an hour east and west of Moe’s rib joints in Asheville and Charlotte,” said owner Dave Rice. “After owning several other locations in North Carolina and seeing resurgence in Forest City, I decided it was the perfect spot to open my next Moe’s Original Bar B Que.”

Constructed in 1935, the building was a bomb shelter in the 1960s. The exterior has been restored to the original brick and several new added windows provide an inviting glass storefront. Inside is very old with plaster and exposed brick walls, beautiful green and white terrazzo tile, refurbished old doors, vintage industrial lighting, knotted and stained wood booths, and bars/tables that were constructed on site.

Seating around 100 people, the 3700 square foot restaurant will serve the same award-winning menu and daily specials as the other five South Alabama locations. Guests will order at the counter and a runner will bring the food to their table. Complete with adult beverages and a stage for entertainment, patrons can expect family friendly fun including live music, trivia and bingo. The look of this new space will also be similar featuring reclaimed wood, rusted tin and a concrete bar top.

“As the city of Semmes is growing and coming into its own, we were approached to bring our restaurant to the area,” said co-owner Ashleigh Valluzzo. “We visited the location a few times and knew our concept would flourish there. Additionally, it was an added bonus that the locals and town were super excited to welcome us to the neighborhood.”

Offering all signature meats, salads and down home sides, the only thing you will not see on the delivery menu is seafood items. In addition to the Mountain Resort and Downtown areas, delivery will be available in under-served West Steamboat including Silver Spur, Steamboat II, Heritage Park and even Elk River Estates north of town on CR 129. There is a $5 delivery fee and a $25 minimum order. Customers will also receive a free 2 liter soft drink with $30 purchase, not including the delivery fee.

“After multiple requests from our customers, we thought it would be a great addition to add delivery for regular meals and not just for catering,” said owner Kelly Subr. “Additionally, we offer our Haul It Home To Go Packs and Meats by the Pound for delivery.”

Comin in hotApril, 24, 2015, Pawleys Island, SC – After great demand for additional space in its 2500 square foot restaurant, Moe’s Original Bar B Que has started an addition. The Getaway will be a new 1,500 square foot building with additional outdoor seating on the patio, a bar, and new stage. Parking option will increase as well. Set to be completed by Memorial Weekend, the project was designed by Tych & Walker Architects, being built by Pinnacle Construction and supported by G3 Engineering.

“We carefully developed a lay out that can showcase live music as well as work to feature oyster roasts, crawfish boils and private parties,” said Moe’s Original Bar B Que owner Meg Lonon. “The Getaway will make the entertainment space separate from the restaurant as well as add an office, more storage and freezer to assist with our needs.”

Opening in early March with drive thru service, the West Mobile location at 4672 Airport Blvd will be close to the University of South Alabama and the airport. Located in the heart of Foley at 20733 Miflin Road, this new eatery will start to serve customers in April. At both locations, guests can expect the menus to be the same as the other locations with the famous Alabama-style hand pulled pork, smoked chicken wings, turkey, fried shrimp and catfish, Memphis-style dry rubbed ribs and more, not to mention the favorite southern sides made from scratch daily. The design of both locations will have repurposed materials including reclaimed barn wood and oxidized tin that will give a rustic look to make each spot feel like they’ve been there forever.
