4th Annual Drifter Fest Lineup Announced in Charleston

Held in downtown Charleston, the 4th Annual Drifter Fest: Bert Griggs Memorial Jam will be on Saturday, September 14th at the Refinery Amphitheater featuring the Rolling Stones’ saxophonist Karl Denson and his band Tiny Universe along with The Reckoning, Junco Partner, and Just Groove. General admission tickets are $25 ADV, $35 DOS with VIP at $60 and are on sale now at drifterfest.com/tickets. A free pre-jam will take place on Friday, September 13th at Home Team BBQ with 54 Bicycles. There will also be after parties each night at The Commodore as well as Friday at the Palace Hotel. A portion of proceeds will benefit Carolina Studios, a non-profit organization that fosters creative, educational & career-focused initiatives for students through music, technology & media arts.

Moe’s Original BBQ Relocating in Hendersonville

After more than a decade of serving up authentic Southern BBQ on Main Street, Moe’s Original BBQ is excited to announce its upcoming relocation to a new standalone building at 1794 Asheville Hwy in mid-Summer. The move is set to bring a fresh and enhanced dining experience to patrons, all while maintaining the same beloved menu items with a few new additions. Situated along a busy highway and close to families, two hospitals, and residential areas, the new site promises easy access and high visibility for both locals and passersby. The ample parking available will make it convenient for guests to dine in or take out. 

The new spot will have an inviting atmosphere, featuring a mix of tables, booths, and high tops surrounded by large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Guests can expect to enjoy the rustic charm of corrugated tin and wood accents, creating a cozy setting with mountain vibes. Outside, a large patio with picnic tables and umbrellas will provide the perfect spot for diners to savor their meals in the open air.   

“When the spot became available after driving by daily, it intrigued me,” said owner Dave Rice. “Once renovations are completed, we look forward to an exciting new chapter.”
